Council Jamboree Payment Schedule

 Adult Leader Requirements

The requirements come directly from the National Office. As such, we do not have the authority to waive or modify them in any way. The requirements for all adult leaders are:

bullet

participate in the required pre-jamboree training outing,

bullet

file a personal health and medical record prior to the pre-jamboree training,

bullet

participate in the Youth Protection Guidelines for Volunteer Leaders and Parents for Basic Training,

bullet

be approved by the local council,

bullet

meet the service requirement specific to the position:

Scoutmaster: Have served as Scoutmaster for at least one full year during the three year period prior to July 1, 2005, and have completed basic Scoutmaster training.  This includes New Leader Essentials, Boy Scout Fast Start and Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Specific Training. Although not required, Wood Badge and/or Scoutmaster's Key is a desirable qualification.

First Assistant Scoutmaster: Same qualifications as Scoutmaster.

Second Assistant Scoutmaster: At least 21 years of age by July 1, 2005.

Third Assistant Scoutmaster: At least 18 years of age (but not have reached 21) by July 1, 2005.

BOY SCOUT AND VARSITY SCOUT QUALIFICATIONS

Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts must be at least First Class Scouts. They must have completed the sixth grade or be at least 12 years of age by July 1, 2005, but not have reached their 18th birthday by August 3, 2005. All Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts must participate in a pre-jamboree training experience; file a complete Personal Health and Medical Record, No. 67-34412, prior to the pre-jamboree training; have been active in a troop or team for at least six months prior to July 1, 2005; and be approved by the unit leader and local council.
