N.J.L.I.C. is the National Junior Leader Instructor Camp program out at Philmont Scout Ranch which is located in Cimarron, New Mexico. This
program exists to train the youth staff members of the local
council's Junior Leader Training Conference
( J.L.T.C. ). Each year, from the Mecklenburg County
Council, TOP GUN hopes to select
a third of its qualified staff
members to develop and participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Within the
United States and even from different countries around the world;
NJLIC is successful by promoting and supporting the Junior Leader
Training Conference. NJLIC focuses
on the teaching techniques of presentations, ideas and activities
for program, and all in a manner of spirit that can
greatly enhance any council-wide Junior Leader Training
Conference.
Attendance for
the NJLIC program is a selected honor from those participants who
apply and commit themselves to become staff on TOP GUN's JLTC.
All staff positions require a one-year contract for which you
represent: "The Best of the Best" from our Council. After you are
selected for staff, you may then qualify to represent "THE ELITE" at the National Junior Leader Instructor
Camp. When you receive this opportunity, you are expected to
commit two years as staff on TOP GUN's JLTC.
